Networking for businesses in the Alfreton, Belper, Heanor and Ripley area
Amber Valley Business Networking is a networking group based in the Amber Valley area of Derbyshire. We attract people from across the whole of the Alfreton, Belper, Heanor and Ripley area plus others from further afield.
Meetings are held monthly on the second Wednesday of the month at varying venues and are either a breakfast meeting or a lunch. The network meetings last for two hours and the cost is £15 per person which includes either breakfast or lunch (depending on the time of day of the meeting).
Meeting Format
Each meeting follows essentially the same format of open networking on arrival ie a chance to mingle and chat. The food is served after approximately half an hour. This is followed by a one-minute round where all attendees will have the opportunity to tell the room all about their business in no more than 60 seconds.
We then have a speaker who may be someone outside of the group talking about a topic relevant to business or a talk from one of the regular attendees. It is never a sales pitch!
The remainder of the meeting time is taken up with more open networking.
Why Should I Attend?
The aim of the group is to develop long term relationships between attendees that will benefit all. Networking isn’t a one visit sales expedition, it’s about getting to know people and hopefully working with them or gaining access, via referrals, to their contacts. Also you will have access to invaluable free business advice as you get to know the other people in the room.
